Functionality of the Fine rotary drum screen:
How the Fine rotary drum screen works: The wastewater flows via a pressure pipe into a perforated sieve drum, whereby pollutants are held back. The rotatably mounted and motor-driven screen drum transports the retained pollutants from the wastewater.
Carrier elements enable the discharge of coarse material and long fibrous screenings.
The screen side to be cleaned always remains on the upstream side, which means that no screenings can unintentionally reach the downstream side (carryover effect).
Above the water level, the screen drum is cleaned from the outside inwards using a spray bar and a brush strip. The use of an optional High-pressure cleaning device for the sieve drum, enables the treatment of wastewater with a high fat content.
The pollutants fall inside the screen drum into a conveyor that transports the screenings out of the drum.
The conveyor can be equipped with a washing and drainage system.
The FSM Fine rotary drum screenings is a highly efficient pre-treatment stage for small and medium-sized wastewater treatment plants.
